Izhevsk is the capital of Udmurt Republic and a major industrial, cultural, and scientific-educational center in the Urals and the Volga region. The city is located on the Izh River, between the Kama and Vyatka rivers. Udmurt Republic is widely known as the mechanical engineering and cultural region with legendary people living there (Mikhail Kalashnikov, Petr Tchaikovsky and many famous sportsmen). Izhevsk is the traditional center of gears and gearboxes research and production and the center of robotic developments.

Conference organizers:
— Institute of Mechanics named after Professor V. I. Goldfarb of Kalashnikov Izhevsk State Technical University and the enterprise MIP Meсhanic together form the world-known leading Russian gearing center, generating and practically implementing advanced solutions in gear technology, including innovative serial production. The Scientific Research Laboratory “Mobile systems” of Kalashnikov ISTU is also widely known as the center of robotic research.

— The SKLMT at Chongqing University is one of the earliest State Key Laboratories in the field of mechanical engineering in China. It serves as a leading scientific research platform for both theoretic and applied fundamental research in mechanical transmissions, including theory and method of mechanical transmission, advanced manufacturing technique, system integration and measurement technology.
